About me
I completed my undergraduate education with honors at Boğaziçi University Psychology Department in 2017. Afterwards, I started the Clinical Psychology Master's program at Istanbul Bilgi University and gained clinical experience under psychoanalytic supervision for two years as part of my specialization training. In 2020; I completed my specialty training as the top student of the faculty with my thesis titled "Separation-individuation, internalized shame and perceived parenting as predictors of relational masochism" and received the title of clinical psychologist.
Between 2018 and 2023, I worked as a research and teaching assistant in the psychology department of Istanbul Bilgi University. In my academic studies, I studied the somatic experiences of therapists and clients and presented the research outputs at international conferences. I now work as a research assistant at the Psychotherapy Research Laboratory at the same university, in a research supported by IPA (International Psychoanalysis Association), and examine the dynamics of nonverbal communication in the psychotherapy process.
In addition to my academic studies, I received expressive art therapy and dance/movement therapy trainings at various institutions, and worked as coordinator at the Art Psychotherapies Association between 2017-2018. I provided psychosocial support focused on art therapy with children at Boğaziçi University Ayvalık Schools Project, with adolescents at Social Innovation Lab, and with young adults at Istanbul Bilgi University.
I now work as a psychotherapist with adults, using a psychodynamic approach.
